      I'm writer and nature photographer, J. G. Coleman, and I'd like to welcome you to my Field Journals.  The wild outdoors have generously enriched my life, proving a perennial source of inspiration and serenity.  With Field Journals I strive to provide a varied experience of the wonders I've discovered in the hopes that they may contribute to everyone's life just as they have my own.

What is Field Journals?

      J. G. Coleman's Field Journals is an ever-growing collection of tours throughout a host of  rugged and biologically-diverse ecosystems, including renowned state and national parks of the Northeastern United States.  Field Journals elaborates upon the unique character of each venue with photography extracted from my own extensive field work.  Images are carefully chosen in an effort to emphasize all of the major interests of outdoor and nature enthusiasts: flora & fauna, landscapes, and hiking landmarks such as parking lots and trail markers.
